So i was getting back into GW, and i tried doing a few ATFH runs for some quick cash which i used to do all the time before.
However, every time i try the run, somewhere whilst soloing the great destroyer in NM or HM, he goes into "defensive mode" and spawns a Destroyer of Hope, which one hits me with a Hex.

This never happened in the past.

Ive tried 3 different ATFH monk builds and none of them can stop the Hex from 1 hitting me.

Anyone else experiencing this or am i just doing something wrong!?

You have to keep up a visage at all times.

Use [Ancestor's Visage], then use [Sympathetic Visage], and repeat.

Yes...I do know how to run ATFH, ive done it at least 200 times now.

My problem is, recently Destroyer of Hope have been spawning when the Great Destroyer goes into "defensive mode".

The Destroyers of Hope cast Mark of Subversion which kills 55 monks in 1 hit.

Did Anet do this to nerf all the runners?

It shouldn't go into defensive mode if you keep up the visages IRRC, i just ran it yesterday so its not nerfed

Just ran it now, it's not nerfed. All you need to do is make sure the warriors are adjacent to TGD and maintain your visages.

Make sure you are not wanding it. Degen only means no defense mode, but damage means it goes into defense mode.
